What data we collect
When you book a stay we collect: first and last name, email address, telephone number, home address, dates of stay, number of guests and payment details.
On arrival, as required by Italian law, we collect identity document details for all guests.
When you visit the website, technical browsing data is collected, such as your IP address and browser type.
Why we collect it
- To manage your booking and stay (performance of the contract)
- To process payments and issue tax documents (legal obligation)
- To report guest details to the Questura via the Alloggiati Web portal and to ISTAT for tourism statistics (legal obligation)
- To pay the tourist tax to the Municipality of Dolcedo (legal obligation)
- To answer your enquiries (your consent)
- To send you a review request after your stay (our legitimate interest; you may object at any time)
We do not sell or pass on your data to anyone for commercial purposes.
Who processes data on our behalf
We work with providers who process data on our behalf:
- Lodgify — website and booking management
- Stripe and PayPal — online payments
- ServerPlan — email service
- Google — email, maps and website statistics
Card payments are handled directly by Stripe and PayPal: we neither see nor store card numbers.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union. In such cases the transfer takes place with the safeguards provided for by the GDPR.
How long we keep it
- Booking and tax data: 10 years, as required by tax law
- Identity document details: only for as long as necessary for the mandatory reports
- Correspondence: until you ask us to delete it
Your rights
You may at any time ask us to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, receive it in a readable format, or object to its processing. Just write to us at [email protected].
If you believe your data is not being handled properly, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
Cookies
The website uses technical cookies, necessary for its operation and for bookings, which do not require consent.
The apartment pages display a Google map, which may set its own cookies. We also use Google Search Console to monitor the site's presence in search results.
